Full Moon in Sagittarius Themes
This Full Moon in Sagittarius arrives on June 11 at 12:43 AM ET. All Full Moons can feel intense, but fortunately this one also invites you to bring some lightness to the heavier matters, thanks to the Sagittarius energy.
Here’s what to expect with this Full Moon in Sagittarius (and how to best navigate it):
Tension or irritation around any issues you haven’t fully addressed or truths that you haven’t spoken (to others OR yourself). Be honest about any underlying issues and make discomfort your friend. Listen to it. Let it be your guide, showing you what is and isn’t working and reminding you of what it is you truly want.
Embracing truth with a bit of humor and kindness. Sagittarius brings a sense of lightness and expansion, reminding us all that we’re human, and there will be bumps in the road. As you get honest with yourself, instead of being critical, have a good sense of humor about any challenges you’re facing. It’s best to enjoy the journey and be kind to yourself and others when you encounter a road block (or repeatedly encounter the same ones).
A desire to act NOW to make necessary changes. It’s good to ride this momentum, but it could also lead to some impulsivity. Remember to pause and check that what you’re doing isn’t purely reactionary. Ask yourself if your actions will ultimately bring you closer to where you want to go.
The resurgence of old wounds or repeated patterns that require some emotional healing. If an old issue comes up for you under this Full Moon, try not to ignore it. Instead, get curious and listen to what the Universe and your heart is telling you about this matter. A reexamination could create more space for healing. And even beyond that, it could help you see how the challenges you’ve faced are a part of your greater mission or purpose in this lifetime.
Overall, this Full Moon is one where you may be called to face some harder truths, but you’re encouraged to do so with kindness, love, and a bit of humor rather than criticism! See your personal struggles or challenges for what they are and own them. Allow them to fuel your purpose—to help you help others or to help you become more fully who you are.
Under this Full Moon, let your struggles and flaws create greater meaning, seeing them as opportunities for expansion rather than restriction.

The Message
Your Soul Journaling Ritual for this Full Moon
Before sitting down to journal, set up a nice, cozy space. In addition to your favorite journaling materials, you could light a candle, set up some essential oils to diffuse, bring out your favorite crystals, and/or display the Tarot cards you might want to work with for this Full Moon. You could also bring out an Oracle deck if you want extra insight.
If you choose to bring out your Tarot cards, here’s what I suggest having nearby or on your altar this full moon:
The Hermit: The card of 2025, which reminds us of the importance of going within and letting our inner wisdom guide us.
The Moon: The secondary card of 2025, which reminds us of the importance of deep, honest reflection so we can see ourselves clearly.
The Lovers: The Tarot card associated with Gemini (the Astrological season we’re currently in), which reminds us to love all parts of ourselves and to act from a place of love. (You can dive deeper into the connection between The Lovers & Gemini in my most recent post.)
Temperance: The card associated with Sagittarius, which encourages us to create more balance and harmony in our lives, finding the middle ground between extremes. (I also did a deep dive into Sagittarius & Temperance for paid subscribers.)
Your personal Tarot card(s) of the year: If you don’t know what it is yet, discover it here.
Once you’ve gathered the materials you’d like, settle in to do the meditation/activation and Soul Journaling Prompt for the Full Moon. The prompt is written as a direct question to your Soul, and this is the prompt we use every Full Moon. The recording of me leading you through this is below, as well as a written out version for you to follow along with.
If you have time for a longer ritual, at the end of this post are journal prompts centered specifically on the themes of this Sagittarius Full Moon.
Full Moon Soul Activation & Soul Journaling Prompt
After taking a couple deep breaths to settle, follow the visualization below, and say silently to yourself or aloud the statements in italics.
Ground yourself.
Imagine there are roots growing from beneath you, traveling deep down and connecting you to the center of the Earth.
Thank you, Mother Earth, and the ancestors of this land on which I sit, for protecting and guiding me today. Thank you for helping me hear the wisdom of my Soul.
Connect to the Universe/Divine
Imagine now that there is a beautiful rose gold light flowing down like a waterfall from the sky/clouds/Universe (choose what resonates) above you. Perhaps the light is coming directly from the Moon. Choose the source that is speaking to you most today.
Thank you, Spirit Team, for protecting and guiding me today. Thank you for helping me hear the wisdom of my Soul.
Thank you, Moon, for shining your light and reflecting back what I need to know.
The light illuminates the crown of your head, activating your inner wisdom and connecting you to your Higher Self.
The light then travels to your third eye, activating your intuition.
The light settles in your heart space, connecting you to your soul.
Thank you, Higher Self and Soul for guiding me and allowing me to hear my intuition and inner wisdom today and all days.
Watch the light continue flowing down your whole body, washing away and releasing anything you do not need to bring with you into this practice.
Thank you, Spirit Team, Higher Self, and Soul for helping me release what doesn't serve me or this practice today.
Focus again on that light within your heart, and take a deep breath in.
Exhale, sigh it out, letting that light shine outward, opening communication with your soul.
Perhaps you even see this light reach your hands as you prepare to write, the wisdom it carries ready to flow through you and your writing.
When you are ready, gently return to your space, blink your eyes a couple times, and then gather your journaling materials.
Full Moon Question for the Soul
Soul, what is ready to be released?
Sit, listen, and feel into a response for however long you need to. Write down whatever comes up in whatever form it comes in. Perhaps you just write words or even sketch something you see.
If you want extra support or additional insight, pull a Tarot or Oracle card and use this as a jumping off point. Do whatever feels right in the moment.
Journal Prompts for the Full Moon in Sagittarius
If you have more time and want to dive specifically into the themes of this Full Moon, try out the journal prompts below. To continue with the meditative journaling experience, listen to the sound healing track while you journal.
With this set of prompts, the first question will guide your focus for the rest of the prompts. You could do this for one or more challenges you’re working through.
What issue, challenge, or friction point am I currently working through, or what issue keeps coming back up for me?
How might this issue or challenge be holding me back or restricting me?
How can I reframe this as an opportunity for growth and/or expansion?
What might shift for me if I viewed this challenge or issue with a little more love, kindness, lightheartedness, or even humor (when appropriate)?
If I were to heal the wound (or wounds) tied to this issue, what first step would I take?

I would love to treat this digital space like a virtual Moon Circle. Let’s make this a place where we can lift and support one another, while also boldly declaring to the Universe what our intentions are!
If you feel called, I invite you to head into the comments and complete this sentence:
“This Full Moon, I release . . . “
Did you enjoy this ritual and want more like it? It would mean so much to me if you liked, commented, or shared this post.

Marcy, this is the first and only post I’ve read on Substack in at least a month. I’ve been so crazy busy with so many changes in my life since Easter. I haven’t even felt deeply connected to my rhythms and rituals during this time.
But, this morning I knew I didn’t want to miss out on the full moon energy before she begins to wane. And I knew exactly where to go to help me sink down into my soul and reconnect. Right here, to your meditative journaling prompts.
And spending this time with you did not disappoint. The messages flowed, the insights rose up, and I felt a deep connection to my soul, the moon, and the season. Thank you so much for faithfully providing this space. I truly, deeply appreciate it and look forward to it every single month.
Hope all is well with you, my friend. 🫶🏻🌕
This full moon I release:
-trying to please everyone
-fear of judgement and rejection
-making myself more palatable
