I read about half of this on Friday, May 2 then collected some apple blossoms that fell off our neighbourhood trees with the wind then out them in my bath tub that night. This message of forgiving myself has been especially potent last week. Two nights before bed, my son and I bumped heads. We made peace right away, but he was super upset with himself. He told me heβs upset with himself because of the thing he did that he knows I donβt like. He said he feels like smoke and he wants to hide and not be seen. The first night, I cried. Heβs 5 years old and perfectly described how I frequently feel - deep frustration at myself. And the message is to forgive myself. We are teaching our son how to make peace with himself and itβs transforming us in the process.
Oh wow, such a valuable piece of insight from such a young voice! I think they're right when they say our kids are here to teach us, too. I completely resonate with that deep frustration myself, and I get exactly what he means by feeling like smoke and wanting to hide.
It's so interesting because that part about forgiveness wasn't really part of that Oracle card's main message. That is just what came through to me at the time and I decided to let it flow. It's been resonating with many, so I'm glad I just kept writing that part rather than self-editing the message.
I love this Marcy, thank you for your time and energy and to all the other soul journallers who are celebrating Beltane today I feel like we are journalling in sync
Thank you so much, Kat! I love that you feel like we are journaling in syncβthatβs exactly what I envision is happening! One day Iβll host some virtual circles where we can all be on Zoom together, but until then, I hope these can be a lovely and enriching alternative!
BeannachtaΓ LΓ‘ Bealtaine ort Marcy! What a gorgeous and rich post to transition us over this threshold. Thanks a million for including me, what a gift! π
Thank you so much, Jennifer! And thank you for your post. I love to add in insights from those of you who are much more familiar with Beltane than I am. I love that I am able to find so many voices on Substack who speak so eloquently to the topic. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
Thank you so much, Jennifer! And thank you for your post! I only recently got into the Wheel of the Year, so I like to read and share posts from those of you who are much more familiar with it. I know if those reading this are anything like me, theyβll want to learn more!
I love that I can find writers like you on Substack. Itβs so much better than pulling a random article from Google!
Thank you again, Marcy! And Substack has been such a wonderful discovery platform for me too - I know so many writers who are letting their creativity thrive here.
Marcy this was spot on! I decided to listen to it with my headphones and so many times I said "Yup" out loud or nodded in agreement with husband randomly looking at me and shaking his head from across the room. π And congratulations on your new home! That's so exciting. Happy Beltane β¨ππ·
π€£ I love that the message resonated so much that you had to say it aloud, haha! I really almost thought I wouldnβt be able to do this post in time, but then everything aligned perfectly for me to get time to complete it. It worked so perfectly that it made me think this was a message that needed to get out and was meant for someone (or multiple people). Iβm so glad I was able to share it!
I always love these articles. They are my absolute favourite. Iβve woken up super early today (3.30am!) and I had almost forgotten it was Beltane. The birds are singling outside my window and the light is soft, it was beautiful to think about the questions you pose. Beltane blessings β€οΈβ¨
Thank you so much for sharing this with me, Anna! I always love to hear that someone is enjoying these. I hope you gained some wonderful insights from the prompts and that you are having a lovely Beltane! π

Yes! I love that so much. I know the anxiety you must have felt and then the relief when pressing publish. β¨π
