Not that I'm having an identity crisis, but I have found that getting to know my Human Design map has radically flipped the way I have been thinking about the Emperor. You may remember, the Emperor is my personal year number, with the Death card as supporting. In Human Design, I am a Projector and all projectors must wait for the invitation as their strategy. It's flipping me out. I remember learning about servant leadership from Christ in many Bible studies, but being a leader while honoring the Hermit card this year, or being a leader while waiting for the invitation? This is such a radical idea for me and really quite challenging to sit with. Wish me luck!

I got into Human Design a couple years ago and it also shifted my perspective! I don’t admittedly know much about projectors (I’ve mostly studied the generator cause that’s what I am) so I looked it up. You might find this article helpful: https://ahumandesign.com/strategy/wait-for-the-invitation/

So I don’t think these are at odds with one another. I always thought waiting for the invitation was more about waiting to know when to share that inner wisdom and when to step into the leader role more publicly/directly. So you’re embracing that quiet leader side until the stars align, so to speak, and it’s time to share. And inner work can be done to help you spot those invitations and know which invitations to accept.

I highly recommend getting a professional human design reading, as I think that can help! Just like Astrology, there are other parts to your chart that can make a big impact!

I wish you luck for sure in sorting it all out! I was quite confused by the “waiting to respond” that a generator must do, but it’s starting to make more sense as time goes on. I do find myself creating best now in response to the needs I see and hear.

You’re so welcome, and thank you for reading! I’m glad it’s resonating because I’m still a bit embarrassed about it, haha.

I love that deck, the art is gorgeous! I hadn’t used it in awhile—for some reason I associate it with Spring so I bring it out around this time of year. I had forgotten just how beautiful it was. I have a feeling I’ll be using it a lot in the coming weeks.
