Those who are regular parts of this community know that I typically do what I call a Soul Journaling Service for each Wheel of the Year celebration. I fully intended to do this, but unfortunately life got in the way this time. We just moved to a new house, and with two kids under the age of three and no childcare or packing/unpacking help, I have to admit I am overwhelmed and absolutely exhausted. I really didn’t know I could survive on this little sleep!
So I apologize to my regulars here who were excited for the full Service. I had really been looking forward to it, so perhaps I will deliver a modified version at a later date, when honoring the season isn’t as top of mind (and sometimes that’s a great time to reconnect to it).
For now, here is a modified version!
About the Summer Solstice
The Summer Solstice typically occurs between June 20-24 in the Northern Hemisphere and between December 20 and 24 in the Southern Hemisphere. On this day, we celebrate what is the longest day of the year with the most sunlight.
The Summer Solstice is a wonderful time to:
Get outside, be social, and be playful, soaking up all this wonderful light! (If it happens to be a rainy day where you are, find ways to interact with light in other ways, perhaps with candle gazing.)
Recognize and embrace your own internal light, and allow this to fuel your confidence so you can be bold and take action on your dreams this season.
Acknowledge all of your accomplishments and be proud of yourself as you see the results of all those seeds you planted earlier in the year.
