There’s a lot of things I’ve left for “Someday.“ Someday, when I have more time. Someday, when I have more flexibility. Someday, when the girls are older.
It ranges from the small:
“Someday, I’ll actually have all the laundry folded and put away.”
“Someday, I’ll meal plan and have a freezer stocked with toddler-friendly food.”
“Someday, all my kitchen and bathroom cabinets will be perfectly organized.”
To the big:
“Someday, I’ll finish Marie Forleo’s B-School, cause I can’t let that money go to waste.”
“Someday, I’ll finish my Oracle Card Reader Certification Course.”
“Someday, I’ll do 1:1 card readings in person.”
No, I cannot realistically do all of these right now. One does need to prioritize, especially when they have two young children and no childcare.
But there’s one “someday” project in particular that keeps coming up, where the idea feels absolutely aligned, and every time I think of it, it lights me up:
“Someday, I’ll make my own Tarot deck.”
Well friends, on this powerful New Moon, the intention is set and the plans being created. Someday is NOW.
I am excited to share that I am creating my first Tarot deck, the Soul Journaling Tarot.
And I want to invite you to join me in the process! I want you to play an active role in helping me decide the elements that appear on each card.
Updates to the Soul Journaling Sessions Paid Subscription
Starting on April 1, the “perks” available to paid subscribers here on Soul Journaling Sessions will change just a bit, the biggest change being that they will be joining me in this journey, seeing all the behind-the-scenes details of what it’s like to embark on a big creative project when:
You’re also a stay-at-home mom caring for a toddler and a baby.
It’s something you’ve never done before.
You are unsure about the technical/logistical publishing pieces.
You don’t have all the skills yet. (And in my case, this means I’m not an illustrator so not clear on how that part is going to work just yet, though I have ideas!)
If you’ve ever wanted to create your own deck, now or “someday,” you might enjoy working alongside me or watching and taking notes for the day when you are ready.
Or maybe you just want to take part in the creation, getting to see how each card is made, and helping me decide on those key featured elements of the cards.
Whatever the reasons, I can’t wait to share all of this with you and finally bring this thing to life!
I’ll share the full vision behind the deck with paid subscribers in early April, and then they’ll get updates going forward as I work through each card.
I am getting around to updating the website and emails, but here is an overview of what you will receive now as a paid subscriber:
Behind-the-scenes access to the creation of the Tarot deck, helping me to decide on key elements and seeing how I work through all the challenges
A monthly Soul Journaling Session tied to the current Astrological Season (to be used throughout that season to help you work with the energy)
A subscriber-only chat where we can share what’s coming through for us and where I will occasionally offer one-card readings, collective readings, or additional journal prompts as inspired
Discounts on future 1:1 reading offerings
Coming in the future: Profiles/interviews with other card deck creators who can share their wisdom with us
Current paid subscribers, your current perk not listed here (the monthly personal one-card reading) will continue as long as you are a paid subscriber. I had to close these off as I’m at capacity now with how many I can do.
If you are interested in a personal one-card reading, and you did not join before I ended these as a perk, I will offer the chance to purchase these separately.
And one last update:
The cost of the paid subscription will increase to $7/month or $70/year on April 1.
If you upgrade to paid before April 1, you will lock in the current rate of $5/month or $50/year.
There’s definitely more to come on all of this as I begin the process, but today, for the New Moon, I’m making this intention known and am making my big plans!
And because I can’t help myself, and I can’t post or send an email without some journal prompts to help YOU to work through some of these themes, I have listed a few below. I also provided a music track to play while you journal.
If you’re making big plans on this New Moon or setting a big intention, please feel free to share it with us below!
For more on this New Moon, check out the post I just shared yesterday:
Your Journal Prompts
What have I been wanting to do or try that I’ve set aside for “someday”?
How will I feel if I never get around to this, and someday never comes?
What small commitment can I make or what small step can I take toward this in the present?
With much love, gratitude, and excitement,
Marcy
This is going to be LEGENDARY!! I'm so excited to see the BTS process. 🥳
That's great news! I've made small digital cards so far that I've printed, and some hand-collaged Tarot cards, but haven't produced something that I believe is good enough to sell - yet! Your idea sounds wonderful, especially combined with the journalling. Wishing you huge success, and lots of fun with it Marcy. I also love the idea of not waiting 'someday' - I resonate, as I too have lots of those someday things on my list. Well done for going for it!
