Periodically, I send some bonus journal prompts, often related to the moon cycle or the astrological seasons. You do not need to know anything about moon cycles or astrology (or even believe much in them) in order for these journal prompts to be beneficial.
Taurus season (April 19-May 20 in 2024) is upon us, and it brings with it themes of stability, grounding, luxury, comfort, and pleasure. After the passionate and fiery Aries season, it can feel nice to slow things down and bring a more practical and steady approach to our goals and dreams.
Below you will find my Journaling for Taurus Season audio course, which will also soon be available on my Insight Timer profile for the app’s Premium subscribers only. But here on Substack, for now, all of my subscribers have access to the course. (Eventually, these courses will become for Soul Journaling Sessions paid subscribers only.)
Each audio session includes a brief intro and a meditation to prepare you for journaling. Then, I read each prompt and you can journal along with me for about two minutes on each prompt. If are unable to or don’t want to listen to the audio, I’ve listed each session’s journal prompts for you below.
If you’d like additional insight on what you can learn from themes of Taurus season, I’d be happy to pull a Tarot or Oracle card just for you. Just leave a comment on this post and let me know you’d like for me to pull a card for you.
Journaling for Taurus Season - Course Intro
Lesson 1: Build Your Foundation
Journal Prompts:
What goal, dream, or vision do I feel called to dedicate myself to this season? (This can be an actual project or task, or it could be a mindset or general feeling that you want to cultivate. It can be something you've already started or want to begin.)
How can I create a firm foundation for me to pursue this? What would that look like?
What can help me develop a steady approach and pace as I work toward my goal or dream this season?
What first step would I like to take toward this goal or dream this week?
Lesson 2: Get Grounded
Journal Prompts:
What helps ground me? What activities, people, or places make me feel grounded?
How can grounding help me be more present in my life?
Where in my life do I feel I need more grounding right now?
How can I create more room for grounding activities in my day-to-day life?
Lesson 3: Embrace Comforts & Pleasure
Journal Prompts:
What activities, people, and/or places bring me a sense of comfort or luxury in life?
What are some simple pleasures in life that I enjoy and feel grateful for?
How can I weave more comfort, luxury, or simple pleasures into my daily life?
In this present moment, what do I find comforting or pleasurable, and how can I carry this feeling throughout my day today? Consider your five senses—what you're seeing, feeling, tasting, hearing or smelling right now that is enjoyable to you.
