A little extra Thank You gift . . .
Two bonus gratitude journaling meditations
Hello, Soul Journalers!
In the spirit of gratitude, I wanted to send a formal THANK YOU for participating in the Gratitude Reset. And if you haven’t finished yet, that’s okay! Take whatever time you need with it.
As I’ve been reflecting more on gratitude, I’ve been trying out new practices and writing new ones for others to try. Recently, I created a Daily Morning Gratitude Journaling track and a Daily Evening Gratitude Journaling track.
My intention with these was to do something different from just the “Write what you’re thankful for” prompt. I also wanted to add a meditative element to it, of course, to help set the mood for reflection and gratitude.
Please feel free to try these and incorporate them into your regular practices. If you use them, let me know how they’re working for you—I’d love to know if they resonate with you and if they help give your practice a boost!
Daily Morning Gratitude Journaling Practice
The Prompts:
In this present moment, without looking ahead to the day or looking behind to yesterday, what do I feel grateful for right now? (This could be as simply as the feeling of a blanket on your skin, a warm cup of tea or coffee, a sip of water.)
What is one small thing can I do today that will bring me and/or others joy, and that I can be grateful for in the moment?
Where do I feel called to express my gratitude today, and how can I best express or share it?
Daily Evening Gratitude Journaling Practice
The Prompts:
What am I grateful for having been able to experience today? (Could be an actual event, a feeling, or a situation.)
What aspects of myself shined today that I am grateful for?
How would I like to share my joy and gratitude tomorrow, with myself and/or with others?
You can also listen to these practices on Insight Timer. I hope you enjoy them!
With much love and gratitude,
Marcy
