What are you ready to harvest?
Celebrate Lammas with a Meditation, Journal Prompts, & Card Spread
Hello everyone!
I’ve missed you! After a few weeks of adjusting to life with a new baby in the house, I am back to writing and recording, and just in time for Lammas.
Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, is a holiday that celebrates the first harvest of the year and marks the halfway point between the Summer Solstice and the Fall Equinox. It occurs August 1-2 in the Northern Hemisphere and February 1-2 in the Southern Hemisphere.
How can you translate this energy to your life? Lammas is a good time for you to celebrate and be thankful for all that you’ve harvested or accomplished. It’s also an ideal time to call forth and bring into focus whatever in your life is ready to be harvested at this time. This could be a project, goal, or dream—ideally a seed you planted this past Spring, but it could be anything that you feel called to bring out into the light.
To help you celebrate Lammas and all that you have created or birthed in your life, I have two audio tracks for you to work with: a meditation practice to celebrate yourself and a meditative journaling practice to help you reflect. The journal prompts can also double as a card spread. If you have Tarot or Oracle cards, I highly recommend pulling a card for each question to help you dive deeper.
If you’d like additional insight and your own personal messages for Lammas, I’d be happy to pull a Tarot or Oracle card for you. To request a card pull, leave a comment on this post on Substack or reply to this email.
I hope you enjoy these meditations and journal prompts!
Meditation for Lammas: Celebrate & Be Proud of YOU
Meditative Journaling Practice & Card Spread for Lammas
In case you are unable to listen to the audio or want to refer to them again later, below are the journal prompts for this practice:
What accomplishment am I being called to celebrate and acknowledge at this time?
What project, dream, or goal is ready to be brought into the light and harvested?
How can I show gratitude for all I’ve accomplished and all that I am about to harvest?
As always, feel free to share anything that came up for you in your journaling! And if you have any special ways to celebrate Lammas, I’d love to hear about them.
With much love & gratitude,
Marcy
Hi Marcy, I really enjoyed your short article. I will be digging into the journaling questions! I would love if you would pull a Tarot card for me.
Such a lovely post to help me celebrate a quiet, inward Lughnasadh and beginning of harvest season. Thank you! x
