Happy 8/8, friends!
Today, August 8, is a significant date in both Astrology and Numerology. It marks the opening of the Lion’s Gate portal each year, which is when the Sun in Leo aligns with the star Sirius, Orion’s belt, and the Earth. The number 8 itself is significant in Numerology, as it represents infinity and brings good luck and overall good energy.
Today there is increased energy flowing between the spiritual and physical realms, which makes it a powerful time for manifestation. As we are also just coming off the celebration of Lammas, now is an excellent time for you to really hone in on what you want to bring into fruition and declare it to the Universe.
To help all who are interested in tapping into the power of this day, I decided to bring forth a message for the collective from my favorite card decks for manifesting. And to ensure we make the absolute most of this, I also created journal prompts based on this message to help you apply it to your life.
I also have a meditation that I made a couple years ago specifically for Lion’s Gate, and it is focused on activating your potential. But I still encourage you to come back to it with a new perspective—a lot can change in one year!)

The Message

As you enter this powerful time of manifestation, you are being called to step up as the leader of your own life. It’s time for you to believe in your own potential and to claim the success and abundance that is—and always has been—yours. It’s important that you do this so you can lead the individuals who need you, who are seeking you, and who have been waiting for your wisdom.
Shedding the fear and doubt to truly step up as a leader begins with reconnecting to the cycles of nature and to the cycles of your own life. Take a step back and look at your life holistically, assessing where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you are headed. Look at this in all areas of your life—career, family, friendships, romantic relationships, finances, and even your relationship with yourself. Look for any imbalances and be honest about which areas of your life need the most love and attention. If one area is suffering, it hurts the whole, so be sure not to neglect any area that is calling for you. Your ability to manifest will be heightened significantly when all areas are returned to balance and the energy between them all is flowing well. If you find creating this balance difficult, or if you find it difficult to repair any specific area of your life, look to nature for support. You will find the signs and the wisdom there, and it allow you to get grounded and quiet enough to hear your intuition.
When you are ready to set your intentions and put them out into the Universe, know that you do not have to have a perfect plan yet, nor do you, yourself, need to be perfect in order to take leadership of your own life. You also do not need to be miles above or ahead in order to lead others. You just need to be you. Be that person, that leader, you’ve always needed and wished for. You already have all the tools you need, and sometimes all you really need is a desire to create change and find a better way. The rest will then fall into place. So step up and move forward as that leader you’ve always needed and have always have been.

Which area of my life currently feels unfulfilled and could use more love, attention, and nurturing?
How can I provide more support to this area? What would make me feel more fulfilled?
How can reconnecting to nature help me regain the balance I need?
From here, narrow down the intention(s) you’d like to set on this powerful day and write it down as your declaration to the Universe that you are ready.

It's amazing that just today, after a long time, I sent the newsletter out into the world that I had been putting off because I was stuck. Today I felt so much energy and desire to create. I had a wonderful Lion's Gate ceremony with my friend in 2019 before I knew I was pregnant. My son was born April 2020. This has always been a powerful time for me, especially with my birthday on the 14th. Last year this time, my sister cancelled her wedding at the last minute, and this year, we are all grieving with the news of my grandma's passing since Monday. I am looking forward to the reprieve that the Lion's Gate offers today.
